Welcome

Comforting Kids Network is an Oregon non-profit organization dedicated to providing just what the name implies: comfort to children in peril. Quilts For Kids is the part of the network that implements our goal by providing quilts to children seen at CARES NW.

CARES NW -Child Abuse Response and Evaluation Services- sees over 1400 kids a year from area hospitals, physicians' offices, and state and county family services. Here the kids are examined and interviewed and recommendations are made for each child's best interest. As of October 2003, over 2050 quitls have been taken to CARES NW. These quilts are made by volunteers who donate their time, talent and materials.
